New Mary Kay Mineral Makeup - Hazardous?

Sources say, "Mary Kay mineral makeup can be hazardous to your skin!"
Concerned consumers are a buzz with the new "mineral" based makeup from Mary Kay, causing swelling of the eyes, lips, and other skin irritations. The foundation and eye shadows that were introduced this month by Mary Kay Inc have been available to Directors for a few months and made more recently available to certain consultants.
One individual states, "My eyes have been swollen for two days now, and I just got off the phone with my eye doctor to review the symptoms. He said the makeup may have caused a chemical-like burn in my eyes."
Another reports, "My sister's eyes nearly swelled shut and she had severe redness, burning and itching around her entire eye area. And that was just from using the mineral foundation. --- Her eye doctor told her to 'throw that junk away!' It took 3 weeks for all the symptoms to disappear."
Other numerous consumers, both Mary Kay "employees" and customers alike have had similar reactions. Will consultants stop selling and giving demonstrations of these new products? Very few if any will, all of the rest will do nothing but push the product like nothing was wrong.
Could it be a reaction to a combination of the new ingredients? Talc powder is listed.
Other consumers who did not have reactions to the new products complain of streaking, clumping, and overall dissatisfaction with this version of mineral based cosmetics.
So do yourself a favor, when your Mary Kay Independent Beauty Consultants calls you gushing about the new "mineral" makeup products, tell her you aren't interested, that you like your eyes open, not swollen shut. Or, just hang up.
